Sarasota Jewish Theatre will cap off its season with its annual end-of-season Community Conversation—an animated, wide-ranging, and deeply engaging event that invites audiences to look back while also leaning forward. This year’s conversation promises to be especially dynamic, featuring a rare opportunity to hear directly from three of the season’s celebrated playwrights: Clark Young (Remember This: The Lesson of Jan Karski), Charles Busch (The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife), and David Gow (Cherry Docs). Joining live via Zoom, these distinguished writers will be interviewed before a live audience, offering unique insight into their work, their process, and the enduring questions at the heart of their plays.

This comprehensive and thought-provoking panel will reflect on the season as a whole, exploring the complex themes that have resonated throughout the productions—from memory and identity to justice, morality, and the fragile architecture of human connection. The conversation will also examine how the stories told on stage intersect with the realities unfolding in our country today, drawing compelling parallels between art and the cultural, political, and social moments we are collectively navigating.

Equal parts reflective and forward-looking, the Community Conversation is designed to deepen the audience’s experience of the season while fostering meaningful dialogue. Expect an evening that is as intellectually stimulating as it is lively—one where big ideas meet personal stories, and where the boundaries between artist and audience begin to blur in the best possible way.

The Community Conversation will be held at The Sarasota Art Museum, 1001 S Tamiami Trail, Sarasota FL at 7 PM. Tickets are $22
